The Far West Community Legal Centre was formed as a result of a Federal Government initiative that identified a need for more accessible legal services in the region.

A public meeting was called in 1999 and an interested group of people formed an incorporated association to make a submission for funding. The submission was successful and the management committee set about the task of establishing a community based legal service. The Far West Community Legal Centre Inc. was officially opened on 18 July 2000.

The centre is funded to provide services to residents of the Far West region including Tibooburra, White Cliffs, Wilcannia, Broken Hill, Menindee, Ivanhoe and Wentworth.

The Far West Community Legal Centre is managed by a volunteer committee. Residents of the Far West region are invited to become members of our association. Membership forms are available at the centre.
